Successful trip to Asia: Impressions from the IFN Network Meeting 2025

Erfolgreiche Asienreise: Eindrücke vom IFN-Netzwerktreffen 2025

In April 2025, our Managing Director Karsten Schmidt and our General Manager Overseas Peter Andag set off for Asia – a journey that took them to Thailand and was both incredibly exhausting and enriching.

The focus of the trip was a high-profile industry event: the International Freight Network (IFN) Meeting 2025 – an important forum for international exchange in the logistics industry.

IFN 2025 – Global Perspectives and New Impulses in Thailand

From April 9 to 11, over 150 logistics experts from all over the world gathered for the annual IFN meeting in Pattaya, Thailand.

The days were intense and characterized by:

  • professional discussions on digitalization, sustainability and efficient supply chains
  • personal encounters with international business partners
  • inspiring lectures, workshops and networking formats

A very special moment was the interview between Kelly Bunyan, founder and director of IFN International Freight Network Ltd. and our colleague Peter Andag.

In the interview, Peter reflects on the importance of strong networks, the challenges facing the industry, and his impressions of the meeting.

Team spirit at the start: Get-together & team building

Even before the official start of the meeting, a sporting get-together with team-building activities took place – a highlight in which Karsten and Peter participated with great enthusiasm.

It not only promoted team spirit within the network, but also offered a relaxed introduction to the intensive working days.

Impressions of the team building can be found here: Team Building Games at the SFN Meeting in Thailand!

Personal conclusion: exhausting – but absolutely worth it!

The trip was undoubtedly demanding – with long flights, high temperatures and a packed schedule.

But it was a complete success in every respect:

  • New contacts were made
  • Existing partnerships strengthened
  • Gathered valuable input for the further development of our logistics strategy

Karsten Schmidt and Peter Andag returned with a suitcase full of new impressions and exciting ideas – inspired and ready to translate the impulses of the meeting into concrete developments.

A big thank you goes to the entire IFN team and all participants for the perfect organization, the great atmosphere and the open, trusting exchange!
