France – General Strikes on September 10 & 18, 2025
Potential Impact on Shipments to Spain & Portugal

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that nationwide general strikes have been announced in France for September 10 and 18, 2025. Several unions and protest groups are calling for extensive protest actions under the motto **“Bloquons tout” (“Block everything”)** – among other things, against the planned austerity measures of the French government.

The strikes are expected to cause significant disruptions to road traffic, at border crossings, at airports, and in rail transport. Cross-border freight traffic may also be affected – particularly shipments to Spain and Portugal.

Furthermore, it cannot be ruled out that the effects will extend into the following days (especially September 11 and 12).
