Strong women, strong economy!

Senator Dr. Melanie Leonhard hosted a Senate reception for female executives in Hamburg's business community on January 9, 2025. Over 100 female executives from various industries accepted the invitation to Hamburg City Hall. We were also present.

The focus was on how women can be further strengthened in leadership positions. Around a quarter of managers in Hamburg's companies are female. Equal participation of women and men in politics, society, and business is an important goal of the Senate.
